A 43-year-old man from Ratia village in Laikipia County's Ol Moran district is recovering from gunshot wounds sustained when an unknown number of robbers raided the area and stole livestock.

Julius Kunel was asleep when he heard a noise outside the compound, and when he went to investigate, he was confronted by bandits.

He was shot and received a wound on his right thigh.

He was admitted, treated, and discharged

Laikipia nominated MCA. Benson Kamara expressed regret that the incident occurred several hours after security agencies from the area, led by Kirima Deputy Commissioner John Orata, convened in Ratia to discuss peace and inter-community cooperation.

He urged the administration to track down the bandits.
