Kamene Goro, a former radio personality, made headlines on Thursday when it was revealed that she had married DJ Bonez in a low-key ceremony with high profiles in attendance.

The couple exchanged vows in a glamorous and lowkey ceremony attended by only a few friends and family members, including Kamene's former radio co-hosts Obinna and Jalang'o, who is now also a Lang'ata Member of Parliament.

Despite the outpouring of congratulations, some Kenyans were left wondering: who is this figure that swept one of showbiz's most outspoken women off her feet?

DJ Bonez, or 'The Pyper' as often called, is a dj spinmaster born David Kamau over three decades ago.

Since he began studying the profession over ten years ago, his adventure in the music industry has progressed by leaps and bounds. He is now a highly sought-after deejay who has performed at practically all prominent events in kenya.

He is also identified as a co-director of Spincycle Entertainment Limited, a deejaying and events company he co-founded with DJ Kaytrixx and DJ Hypnotiq, who attended his highly secret wedding.

The group's website statement claimed that The staff at Spincycle Entertainment is a reflection of everything the Directors value and practice in their company: it starts with commitment and genuine caring, continues with charisma and enthusiasm, and ends with services joyfully delivered and promises kept

During an initial interview with a local radio station, DJ Bonez denied rumours that he was previously married with kids and left his then-wife for Kamene. He explained that he did have children outside of his relationship with Kamene but had never been married.

The spinmaster allegedly started dating Kamene in 2021 and proposed to her over a weekend trip to Diani in September last year, to which she said yes to the proposal.
