Days after Jimal Roho Safi was accused by Amira of physically assaulting her, Jimal has spoken out giving his side of the story.
According to Jimal, Amira misled the public about the details of their divorce. In an interview with Mungai Eve, he admitted his connection to Amber and claimed to have treated her as his second wife. He said Muslim men could have multiple wives, and Amber was a second wife.
Jimal has described the sequence of occurrences that led him to write to their Imam for a divorce. He admitted that after he left Amber, he made an effort to make amends with Amira but was unsuccessful. He decided to concentrate on his business and, as a result, grew close to Wangari, who is currently carrying his child.

He continued by saying that he left his house because he sensed Amira's hostility that he could not stand. He stayed at Wangari's after work and only went to Amira's on the weekends to spend time with the kids.
During that time, he constantly received calls from his previous neighbours pleading with him to tell Amira, who was now partying, to turn down the music. He claimed that Amira had constructed a gazebo that she later used as a venue for entertainment. Her friends would frequently gather to drink and smoke.
According to Jimal, Amira began inviting men over as well. Jimal claimed that he had decided to dissolve the marriage because he could not take the disrespect. He revealed that he bought the house for over Kshs. 7 million and gave Amira everything in it.
Jimal recently spoke with MPasho on the phone and denied being abusive, claiming that Amira had never been pregnant the time she was claiming to have been.
He added that the doctors had advised Amira against having more kids because she has back problems. Jimal even revealed that she was forced to travel to Turkey for a weight-loss procedure, as advised by her doctors.
Jimal went on to say that this was just Amira reacting to the court's order. According to Jimal, after their divorce, the court ordered him to pay for his rent and upkeep for three months before she stabilized.
