Kakuzi unionized employees are set to receive a 16 percent wage increment after signing an updated Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the Kenya Plantation and Agricultural Workers Union (KPAWU).
Under the new CBA agreement, more than 3,350 workers at its Makuyu operations site will benefit from the wage hike for the next two years, effective January.
Kakuzi Managing Director Chris Flowers said the firm will continue to prioritize the welfare of its human capital by providing quality working conditions, rewards, and benefits.
“Kakuzi appreciates the support that the KPAWU leadership extended to complete the CBA negotiations successfully.”

The signing of the updated CBA follows a recent round of mutual negotiations between Kakuzi and KPAWU.
