The report also highlights Uber's significant support for the tourism sector, with Sh2.7 billion generated by providing reliable transportation for tourists visiting Kenya's attractions.

Additionally, the Uber Eats service provided Sh534 million to the restaurant industry, showcasing the growing appetite for food delivery among Kenyans.

Furthermore, with rising living costs, 65% of drivers joined Uber to combat financial challenges, with 87% using their earnings to cover essential bills, including school fees.

For users, Uber is more than just a means of transport; it has become synonymous with convenience and safety.

A remarkable 96% of female riders identified safety as a paramount consideration when using the service.

Additionally, 67% of Uber Eats users valued the convenience of having food and essentials delivered right to their doorstep.

The platform has transformed social habits, with 64% of riders utilizing Uber for parties and 53% for airport commutes, underscoring its integral role in Kenyans’ daily lives.

The findings also indicate a significant engagement with Uber Eats, with over 36% of Kenyan adults using the app to order food or essential items in 2023.

Furthermore, 80% of Uber riders reported using the app for work-related travel, emphasizing its importance for professionals navigating the city.
