Carrefour opened its 20th store at Business Bay Square Mall (BBS) in Eastleigh, Nairobi, to tap the growing population and businesses.
Located along General Waruinge Street, the 3,000-square-meter store will be one of the largest opened by the retailer in the country since 2019.
Approximately 20,000 products from consumer goods, cleaning and household products, personal hygiene products, and fresh food, including fruits and vegetables, will be stocked at the facility.
“The opening of our new store today is a true testament to our commitment to continue providing exceptional services to our customers as we strategically expand our footprint in the Kenyan market,” East Africa Carrefour Regional Director Christophe Orcet said.

Carrefour now operates 20 stores countrywide, with 16 located in Nairobi and Kisumu and Mombasa hosting two stores each.
The stores are at the Hub, Village Market, Galleria Shopping Mall, Sarit Centre, Junction Mall, Thika Road Mall, Two Rivers Mall, and Southfields Mall.
The store's opening comes a week after the retailer marked its 7th anniversary in Kenya.
