P&L Consulting has appointed Maureen Sande as its new Managing Partner, where she will be responsible for strategic direction and operations.

The new Managing partner takes up the position as the firm seeks to grow into capital markets, risk and communications.

Sande has over 20 years of experience in strategic communication and advocacy campaigns for private-sector businesses, government agencies, and development partners.

As a communications executive, Sande has worked for companies like BAT, IFC Africa, Telkom Kenya, and Redhouse Group.

She has worked with various client organisations, including EABL, BAT East & Central Africa, the Kenya Bureau of Standards, UN Women, Barclays Bank Kenya (now Absa Bank Kenya), and NCBA Bank.

Mercy Randa, the company's founder and current managing partner, is replaced by Sande. Mercy will take over as CEO.

“This is a key milestone for P&L Consulting and even more significant as we turn a decade old. We are excited that the future gives us the opportunity to contribute to the redirection and improvement of our industry.

Sande assumes responsibility for the firm from July 1, 2023, and will sustain positive client relationships, drive new business acquisitions, and shape operations in line with the firm's strategic direction.

“I am both enthused and deeply honoured by the opportunity to steer P&L Consulting into its next chapter, building on the foundation laid through 10 years of delivering outcomes that drive impact. We look forward to a future secured by continuing strategic partnership that offers solutions to client organisations, and enriched by integrating knowledge and expertise with fit-to-purpose tools and products,” says Sande.
