Ten more counties have signed up for MyCountyApp to enhance their own revenue collections through a single app.
MyCountyApp seeks to enable devolved units to centralize services through digitization.
The new signees include Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, Samburu, Bomet, Narok, Kitui, Busia, Kilifi, Elgeyo Marakwet, and Kajiado.
Machakos County was the first to take up the program last year during its pilot phase.
Digitizing devolution is a collaborative agenda bringing together the public and private sectors to serve all Kenyans.

Safaricom Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Peter Ndegwa, speaking during the ongoing 8th Devolution Conference in Eldoret, stated that with guidance from the leadership of various counties, Safaricom is integrating the MyCounty App channels to the various systems.
Safaricom also signed an MoU with the Council of Governors (CoG) to collaborate on IT security and related cyber security guidelines, its own source of revenue, strengthening knowledge management through the Maarifa Centre, CSR activities, and capacity building, among other areas of collaboration.
“This MoU represents more than just a partnership, it symbolizes a shared vision for a better tomorrow. By embracing collaboration, we are not just creating pathways for progress; we are building bridges that will allow us to overcome challenges together,” he said.
