The kit, which will soon be shown at IFA this year, will include creative, carefully designed solutions that are compatible with a variety of LG household appliances, including the refrigerator, CordZero stick vacuum, Styler, dishwasher, water purifier, washing machine and dryer.
Additionally, customers may easily incorporate Universal UP Kit items into their current LG home appliances, avoiding replacing the entire appliance and improving user experience without switching to the newest models.
The kit is a continuation of LG's determined efforts to promote ESG activities that are more accessible and environmentally friendly.
A testament to LG's dedication to more sustainable manufacturing through component reduction and increased use of recyclable materials, the company unveiled its minimalist appliance portfolio last year.
LG recruited the assistance of its Accessibility Advisory Council, an independent group of people with conditions like cerebral palsy, hearing or vision impairments, and other disabilities, to help build the Universal UP Kit.
This collaborative effort led to the creation of ‘aid kits’ featuring solutions engineered from recycled plastics utilized to help conserve resources and minimize waste – a cornerstone of LG’s overarching ESG management strategy.
