Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and his Ministry of Trade counterpart Moses Kuria have re-opened cargo flights at the Eldoret International Airport to boost regional trade.

During the launch, Murkomen said the move is critical in expanding business and elevating the quality of life in Eldoret town for the residents and the expansive Rift Valley region.

“This is a great milestone for the business community and farmers in the region and beyond as it will ensure faster transportation of goods, expand the scope of business, and improve livelihoods,” he said.

Further, he said his Ministry is working with the private sector to extend the airport’s runway and construct warehouses within the facility.
