The government has enacted a comprehensive plan to provide jobs for the country's unemployed youths.
Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication, and Digital Economy Eliud Owalo announced Tuesday in Rarieda, Siaya County, where he joined his education counterpart Ezekiel Machogu in distributing government infrastructure support money to multiple schools.
He stated that the government's objective was to provide digital content to learning institutions to build capacity for learners with technical know-how.
He added that this was achievable because the two ministries worked together to guarantee kids were proficient in digital skills so they could use the platform to earn a living.

He stated that every TVET institution would shortly have a digital laboratory, and every ward will have a digital centre.
"The Kenya Kwanza Government, led by H. E. the President, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, recognizes education as a critical success factor in its Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA)," Owalo added.
Several schools benefited from the Ksh 9 million in cash distributed. Siger Secondary School received (Ksh.5 million), Kametho Primary School received (Ksh.2 million), and Siger Primary School received (Ksh.2 million).
Machogu, for his part, promised that at least 45,000 youngsters from low-income families who excelled in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education last year would receive national government scholarships to attend university.
Those in attendance included Nyanza's Deputy Regional Director of Education, Nicholas Oyucho, TSC Regional Director Ms Jane Njage, Rarieda DCC Kennedy Lunalo, teachers, parents, and the local community.
