The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has appointed veteran gospel artist Rufftone to oversee its grassroots elections in Nairobi.
In a statement released by the party, it has appointed 16 individuals following plans of having grassroots elections in the coming days.
“It is notified for general information that the UDA Party, in preparation for the upcoming grassroots elections, has made the appointments of regional and county managers,” the party said in a statement.
Rufftone will identify, mobilize, coordinate, and supervise Party grassroots community organizations and "lead the Party's regional political objectives to create a more representative and inclusive Party, carrying forward the Party and helping shape the makeup of decision-makers in the region."

He is expected to "establish and maintain relationships with party members and lobby groups, as well as consulting to assist in the development of their political and civic engagement programmes."
