According to community leader Harrison Ole Meiguran said that the bandits opened fire on the NPR police protecting a construction business working on road projects in the unstable Mukutani region without discriminating.
Following an early-morning attack by armed Pokot bandits who surrounded National Police Reservists (NPRs) guarding construction equipment close to Narokwe Hills, tensions in Kiserian are still high.
An NPR officer was immediately shot and killed by the criminals, while three other people narrowly averted death.
Harrison Ole Meiguran, a prominent member of the village, claims that the bandits fired indiscriminately at the NPR officers guarding a building firm working on road improvements through the dangerous parts of Mukutani.
