Four men died on Saturday while loading sand onto a lorry when it slid and buried them alive in Kashani, Bamburi, Mombasa County.
The four were buried together with the truck.
Mombasa County Executive Member for Roads and Infrastructure Dan Manyala, said three bodies had been found by 7 p.m. on Saturday whiel the other body was found in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to him, the rescue officers had combed through the sand and no more bodies had been found, despite reports that the miners could have been five.
He has called upon the miners’ association to report if any of their members were missing.
The bodies were taken to Coast General Hospital Mortuary as investigations continue.
