At least 20 people have been killed in Sudan's capital, Khartoum, after shells hit a market full of people.
According to a statement by a committee of pro-democracy lawyers, the blast was the latest bloodshed in the conflict between army leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan's soldiers and his former deputy, Rapid Support Soldiers (RSF) commander Mohamed Hamdan Daglo.
The committee of pro-democracy lawyers noted that the shells were discovered in Omdurman following a fierce exchange of fire between the two sides.

"More than 20 civilians have been killed, and others have been injured," according to the statement issued to AFP. The committee keeps records of human rights breaches and civilian victims during the conflict.
A medical source claimed on Saturday that shells fired at Khartoum homes killed 15 civilians. Omdurman has been the site of numerous intense battles between the two factions.
Though the majority of the fighting had previously been confined to the capital and the western region of Darfur, witnesses say it has now expanded to places south of Khartoum.
According to the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data project, more than 10,000 people have been murdered in the Sudan conflict thus far.
Humanitarian organizations and medics have frequently warned that the actual toll far exceeds reported statistics, with many of those injured and died never reaching hospitals or mortuaries.
According to the UN, the war has prompted an estimated 5.5 million people to leave their homes and flee to neighboring countries.
