A bodaboda rider has died after being hit by a cargo train in Voi.
According to witnesses at the scene, the rider was crossing the railway line on the Sofia Junction on Wednesday night when the accident occurred.
The cargo train could not stop in time, and the rider died on the spot. The body of the bodaboda rider was transported to the Moi County Referral Hospital mortuary in Voi town.

The horror is said to have started around 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7th, when the victims, ranging in age from 1 year to 79 years, heard the buzzing of the bees shortly after they were descended on.
Joram Kimani, a kid among the casualties, described how he ran to his younger sister's rescue, becoming a casualty in the process.
Kimani felt driven to plunge into a pool of water adjacent to a well to protect himself from the constant stinging.
Among the victims was 79-year-old Martha Wanjiku, who recalled how she and her grandchildren were sitting inside their home when the bees descended. She described her frantic efforts to protect the house's small children.
Lucy Njoki described receiving distress calls from a worried neighbor notifying her that her sister and grandchildren had been stung by a bee.
The victims were originally treated at Ol-Morn Health Centre before being transported to Nyahururu County & Referral Hospital for more extensive care.
