Babu Owino, a member of parliament from Embakasi, has proposed selling Kenya.
The proposal is made at a time when living expenses are still rising.
"Hii Gari ya UDA imekata breaks. Kenyans can't tighten the belts anymore coz seat belt imekatika. Why can’t Ruto just sell Kenya apate hizi pesa ananyanyasia Wananchi. You prayed so hard to be the President, and now you are working so hard to oppress the same people you vowed to help. If you are walking and don't meet the devil, know that you are going in the same direction."
According to political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, President William Ruto needs to start paying attention to Kenyans' cries.

Ngunyi said in a statement released on Thursday that when it comes to the cost of living, the President should pay attention to both religious authorities and his UDA party members.
His remarks follow UDA Members' demands that the President take up the issue of rising living expenses.
"Dear Ruto. Take time to listen. Listen to Bishop Ole Sapit. Listen to your UDA MPs who said the ground was hostile and listen to Kenyans who said that the State of the Nation address was underwhelming. It is not always right to be right. Ask God!" He said.
The Star has learned from speakers at the Parliamentary Group meeting that the climate is getting hostile as wananchi grows impatient for change in these challenging economic times.
Several Members of Parliament have acknowledged that the challenging economic conditions in their districts are making it more and more difficult to host public gatherings, gradually alienating constituents.
Kenyans have been lamenting the high cost of living for a long time.
The President has pledged to lower taxes and living expenses, but this is not happening.
The President asserted, however, that households can practically address the cost of living.
