United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has moved its grassroots elections from December to April 2024.
In a statement to newsrooms on Saturday, UDA party Secretary Cleophas Malala said the decision was reached after a meeting with party leader President William Ruto.
"Following a National Steering Council (NSC) meeting chaired by Party Leader William Ruto on November 18, 2023." "The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) wishes to inform all members and aspirants that the grassroots elections originally scheduled for December 9th, 2023 have been postponed," Malala said.

UDA party Secretary Cleophas Malala advised party members interested in leadership roles to continue registering before the registration period finishes on March 22, 2024.
"The elections will be held in three clusters, on April 12th, 19th, and 26th, 2024." "In due course, a detailed schedule outlining county clusters will be released," he said.
