Moses Kuria responded to former President Uhuru Kenyatta's criticism of the current administration, saying that he is the one who left behind a mess.
Mr Kenyatta chastised his successor, William Ruto, during a church fundraiser in Mwingi, Kitui County, for blaming him for his government's failure and poor economy.
"I don't want to say too much... not because I am afraid...I stopped being afraid. We've been threatened and told a lot of lies. When someone fails, they exclaim, 'Oh! "Previous administration," Uhuru informed the congregation.
Did you read this?
"Tomorrow, when women fail to give birth, they will say, 'you know Uhuru did it,'" the former president said, imploring the crowd to stop nasty politics. I'm not sure, but I'm used to it."
Unhappy with these sentiments, CS Kuria took to his X page and urged the former president to remain quiet as they cleaned up his mess.
"Every day, the full scope of the devastation you've left behind dawns on us." We are not unhappy. We will keep cleaning up the mess. We can do this if you are silent. "Much better," Kuria wrote.
“You thought the economy would collapse by December 2023 as you have told your friends repeatedly. Now that it's clear we have navigated your murky waters, you are all over again.”
Kuria also informed Kenyatta, whom he called as "Mr President Emeritus," that if he has a problem with National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah, he should phone him directly or visit him in Gikambura.

1. Every day the full magnitude of the mess you left behind is dawning on us. We are not complaining. We will continue to clean the mess. We can do so when you are quiet. Better
2. You thought the economy would collapse by December 2023 as you…
The CS blamed Kenyatta's criticism of the government for failing to support Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga as his preferred successor after Ruto won the 2022 presidential election.
"You are not happy that Raila has refused your contract to cause violence. You conned him that you would make him President, then fired all your experienced campaign managers. You lied to the old man. And now you want to manage him again by saying you are in Azimio to stay. Mjinga akierevuka...."
