Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has threatened to lobby for the ban of 'Aluta Sundays' in all Nairobi Clubs.

The young senator expressed concerns about the overnight program that runs from Saturday night into Sunday, claiming it is negatively influencing many youths. In a public notice, the senator urged club owners to take her statement seriously, as she takes steps to halt the 24-hour party culture in Nairobi.

"Kuna kitu inaharibu vijana hapa Nairobi inaitwa Aluta. Hio fom mi ndio nitaichoma. Club owners this is your notice" Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu noted.

Nyamu's statements have sparked diverse reactions from both partygoers and business individuals, with many expressing concerns that she might jeopardize a thriving scenario.

Media personality Joyce Gituro has joined the conversation, supporting Senator Nyamu's initiative. A few weeks ago, Gituro gained attention for her viral discussion about 'Aluta' Sundays with her son, Jakes Nyanjom.

Aluta Sundays, a Sunday service commencing at 6 am, has emerged as a favored destination for party enthusiasts in Nairobi's club scene.

Originally conceived by Loft Lounge owners, the concept swiftly gained traction and was embraced by other clubs in Nairobi.

This program caters to reggae enthusiasts who prefer not to conclude their Saturday night out and extend the celebration into Sunday morning.

Aluta Sundays draws inspiration from Jamaican culture, where revelers frequent clubs as early as 6 am for extended hours of reggae music.
