A three-day-old infant who was dumped near Rongo University in Migori County has been rescued by four university students.
Phanis Omondi, a Rongo University student, stated that she was at the market when she heard the baby crying in a nearby bush.
Omondi said they rescued the baby and gave him to a native near Rongo University.

Afline Adhiambo echoed her claims, saying that they got the baby to the hospital with the help of the security and children officers.
Mr. Francis Nguli, the Migori County police chief, stated that the baby is safe and supervised by the Sub-county children officer.
Nguli stated that they have yet to identify the baby's parents and that investigations are ongoing.
He has asked the public to help the police find the parents by providing any information they may have.
