One woman was killed and another was seriously injured after their car veered off the road and rolled several times near Maiuni, about 5 kilometers from Kangundo Town on the Kangundo-Mwala Road in Machakos County.
Area chief Daniel Muli said the car was on its way to Mwala when it was hit mid-morning on Wednesday.
Muli stated that the road has several sharp corners previously dangerous to motorists.
The passenger died on the scene, and the driver was taken to Kangundo Hospital.

The chief also urged drivers to be cautious as the holiday season approaches and urged the Kenya National Highway Authority to install rails along the road.
