YouTube Music and YouTube Premium have announced that the services are now available in Kenya.
According to the company, the move represents a key milestone in its commitment to offering an enhanced entertainment experience to users in various locations.
Kenyans will access over 100 million official songs and a vast catalog of live performances, music videos, remixes, podcasts, and hard-to-find music via YouTube Music.
Additionally, the app provides personalized recommendations and the opportunity to listen offline and in the background.
Users will also be able to try out the app's innovative features, such as the Smart Search function, which helps users discover songs even with partial lyrics, an Activity Bar for quick access to playlists and personalized mixes, and an Explore Tab showcasing the best of new and popular music.
Furthermore, the Related Tab provides a customized music experience depending on the current listening option, and Song Lyrics provides an interactive aspect that is synchronized with the music.

Subscribers to YouTube Premium will also get ad-free viewing, background play, and the opportunity to download videos for offline viewing. Furthermore, Premium customers will receive an automatic upgrade to a premium version of YouTube Music, allowing them to listen to music offline and without advertisements on the standalone YouTube Music app.
"In addition to YouTube Music, YouTube Premium caters to our dedicated viewers by providing an enhanced viewing environment, empowering them to watch their favourite content seamlessly," he said.
YouTube Music (Individual) costs Ksh.419, while YouTube Music Family costs Ksh.669.The YouTube Premium Bundle costs Ksh.499 for an all-inclusive package, and the YouTube Premium Family plan is Ksh.949.
YouTube Premium includes unlimited access to YouTube and YouTube Music. Both YouTube Music and YouTube Premium were launched in Ghana and Senegal, in addition to Kenya.
