Major roads in the Nairobi Central Business District(CBD) will be closed for four days to enhance the operations of the YouthConnekt Africa 2023 summit at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC).
Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei has confirmed that these roads include Parliament Road, City Hall Way, Taifa Road, and Harambee Avenue.
“We urge motorists to cooperate and listen to instructions given out by officers on the ground. Motorists are also encouraged to use alternative routes,” he said.
The 6th edition of the YouthConnekt Africa Summit is sponsored by Kenya, YouthConnekt Africa Hub, and UNDP.
The summit is expected to convene over 20,000 young people, government officials, corporate leaders, and development champions themed: ”Youth Innovating a Borderless African Reinassance.”
