Muragara village in Kirinyaga is in mourning after a disabled man was burned to death inside his house.
On Saturday night, around 10 p.m., a fire broke out at the home of 62-year-old Joseph Ndei.
Muragara residents, led by Paul Wachira Mugo, believe the incident was an arson attack because it was happening for the second time.
Ndei, who was living alone, was severely burned because neighbors were unable to evacuate him from the house in time.

"The residents who noticed the house which was already in flames responded immediately but their attempts to rescue the man in his wooden house were futile," Christine Wanjiru, a neighbor, told CNN.
The cause of the fire, according to Ndia sub-county police commander Moses Koskei, remains unknown.
"We have taken his remains to Kerugoya Referral Hospital waiting postmortem as police launch investigations to establish what caused the fire," Koskei said in a statement.
