Kenyans are displeased with DP Rigathi Gachagua's performance after one year in office.
This is according to the results of a year-end poll by the research firm Infotrak, announced on Friday.
Kenyans who took part in the survey on the 18th and 19th of December assessed President Ruto's overall performance in 2023 as D, with his deputy Rigathi Gachagua receiving the lowest grade of E.
The public was equally dissatisfied with the performance of Cabinet Secretaries, the National Assembly, the Senate, the Judiciary, the police, the opposition, and county governments, all of which received a D.

"This widespread dissatisfaction paints a clear picture: Kenyans expect better. The writing is on the wall, a stern message for all leaders entrusted with shaping the nation's future. As we step into 2024, the hope is for significant improvement," reads the survey in part.
According to the research, most Kenyans (56 percent) are concerned about the high cost of living and want it addressed as a priority.
Kenyans are concerned about excessive taxation (36%), fuel costs (33%), unemployment (27%), access to affordable healthcare (15%), corruption (13%), and food security (13%).
According to the poll, the proportion of Kenyans who believe the country is heading in the wrong path has increased by 7% from 55% to 61% between December 2022.
"Currently, three out of five Kenyans express unhappiness with the country's current trajectory. This sentiment is particularly strong among 64% women and almost 7 in I 0 youth aged 18-25 years."
"Notably, this sense of unease seems to permeate all regions. Over half of Kenyans in all eight regions surveyed now feel the country is off track with Nyanza and Western leading the pack at 72% and 69% respectively," the poll added.
