Akshay Grover has resigned as Cellulant Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) amid leadership changes to focus on personal matters.
Grover joined the financial technology company in 2021 before becoming CEO in the same year.
“Under his leadership, Cellulant has strengthened its position both on the African continent and internationally. His efforts have been pivotal in enhancing the Cellulant brand and driving the company’s strategic objectives,” read a statement by Cellulant.
The current CFO, O’Toole, will be stepping in as acting CEO in the transition period.
Cellulant is an African payments company that offers a single API payments platform for online and offline payments.
It connects African companies to local, regional, and international payment options like bank accounts, cards, and mobile money.
