Eric Theuri, the president of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), has challenged Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to present any evidence that connects judges to corruption rather than publicly making statements.
This comes after Gachagua said on Sunday that he would file a petition on Thursday to remove Justice Esther Maina from her position.
Gachagua contended that Justice Maina intended to damage his reputation when he abruptly declared his wealth to be the proceeds of crime.
Theuri contends that rather than wailing in public, Gachagua should submit any graft charges to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

He further criticized the Executive for its ongoing assaults on the Judiciary, claiming that these attacks are undermining independent institutions' independence and bringing the country's democracy even closer to collapse.
This is happening against President William Ruto's intensified attacks on the Judiciary over allegations that dishonest people have infiltrated the system.
To fulfill his ambitious housing project, Ruto has pledged to eliminate the people above, whom he believes are the reason behind the court's decision to prevent the Housing Levy from being collected.
Ruto's assertions have been refuted by Chief Justice Martha Koome, who also advised Ruto and Kenya Kwanza leaders to file their complaints with the designated constitutional body.
