An early morning accident in Mlolongo involving a bus has left several people injured.
According to a witness at the scene, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle before it overturned. The bus, owned by SEMA Sacco, was en route to Nairobi when it went off the road.
The event slowed traffic in the vicinity since many drivers chose to take the motorway to avoid the traffic jam.
“We are forced to use the Expressway despite the increase in fees so that we can get to work in good time,” said a motorist
The injured passengers were taken to neighboring hospitals for treatment. Police have urged cars using the highway to proceed cautiously and practice road safety.
