Siaya governor James Orengo has lashed out at President William Ruto, saying he will no longer be permitted to intimidate the judiciary.
The siaya Boss claims that the president must understand that he is not above the law and should thus allow the courts to operate independently.
The governor warned that if the judiciary is not free, the country will face significant issues, and he urged the president and his administration to enable the courts to do their work without interference.

“You are not going to intimidate the courts. Nobody is above the law in Kenya. Our president must let the courts do their work without interference from politicians or government officials. Without a free court system, this country could be in serious problem,” the governor said.
Orengo, who spoke at the opening of a modern market at Nyadorera business center in the Alego/Usonga constituency, remarked that while he thinks that steps must be taken against corrupt judges and magistrates, he insists on a clear process.
He emphasized that while individual judges and Magistrates may be rogue or corrupt, they should not be used to scare the entire judiciary.
According to Orengo, Ruto must be at the vanguard of promoting the rule of law in the country.
