A woman from Chemang'aisi village in Kericho county has drowned in a river after suffering from an epilepsy attack.
According to residents, the woman went to gather water on Monday evening when she suffered an attack and fell head-first into the river.
Residents who had gone to gather water subsequently discovered her body and alerted authorities.
The incident was reported at the Sondu Police Station. The body was brought to the Sigowet Sub-County Hospital Mortuary.
