Police officers have arrested a 70-year-old man for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl in Vihiga.
Hamisi sub-county Police Commander Patrick Gogo verified the occurrence, stating that the youngster was a Grade 3 student.
The administrator denounced the incident, pointing out that occurrences of defilement and incest have recently increased in the area.
He stated that the subject was in police custody awaiting arraignment.
