A family is looking for answers after their former child died fifteen days after being admitted to high school.
15-year-old Emmanuel Kirima was admitted to Form One at Kilungu Boys High School on January 15, and ten days later, his parents received a call from the school administration asking them to come to Kilungu mortuary and identify their son's body.
The parents are devastated by the news and believe that the situation involving their son's health was handled terribly. At first, the family was told that Emmanuel had been transported to the hospital after complaining of a stomach ache.

However, after examining Emmanuel's body, the family claims facial injuries were obvious, particularly on his forehead. The school neglected to tell the family if he was hurt in a fight, a tumble, or a bullying incident before being transported to the hospital.
The 15-year-old child was initially brought to a private hospital before being transferred to Kilungu Level Three Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Kilungu Boys High School's headteacher, Goeffrey Muema, said they did what the school administration does when a kid becomes ill. He claims they were equally surprised when the hospital informed the school administration that the youngster had died.
The family has decided to move the body to Chiromo Mortuary, where a post-mortem will be performed on Monday to determine the cause of death.
