The Princess of Wales has been discharged and is back home after a 14-day stay at the hospital after undergoing abdominal surgery.
According to a statement issued by Kensington Palace, Kate is “making good progress after a planned surgery. She is expected to stay away from royal duties for at least three months.
“The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided,” the palace said in a statement shared with HuffPost. “The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

The hospital stay has, however, been marred by speculations and conspiracy theories, with some sections of the fans questioning how she was able to leave the hospital unspotted since the media has been camping outside the hospital doors since news broke of her hospitalization.
They have also questioned why the prince of Wales has only been seen visiting her once while Queen Camila has been pictured visiting the King several times.
However, the other section of the camp has refuted these claims and demanded that Kate be given privacy. They claim that one can get out of the hospital in several ways without being noticed.
According to HuffPost, the palace also called for privacy as the Princess of Wales recovers and will give updates on her health if new information comes up.
“She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.”
“Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share,” the statement added.
