"Anniversary month" she wrote.

Prior to today's post, Doreen Majala had shared another photo a few hours ago, featuring herself on a date with MP Gideon Mulyungi.

During that time, the stylish personality disclosed that they were at Karen Country Club. However, she chose not to reveal the legislator's face in the post.

Reports indicate that Doreen Majala separated from her husband, Gideon Mulyungi, in early 2018 following allegations of domestic assault.

In 2020, the former NTV Swahili news anchor openly discussed her decision to leave him, revealing that it occurred two years after the incident took place.

Doreen Majala reflected on the night she decided to leave, walking away with just a handbag. She recounted how she had to rebuild her life from the ground up.

"Two years later...The courage of walking away at night with only a handbag and starting from scratch, i tell you today, it is possible to get back back on your feet no matter your story, the disrespect from intruders it is possible to break someone's wall and camp next to it. Let nobody tell your story" she wrote.

As per reports, following the alleged domestic violence, Doreen Majala filed a case in court.

MP Gideon Mulyungi was subsequently brought before a Ngong Court in January 2019. During the appearance before Magistrate Alex Ithuku, he did not enter any plea.

At that time, his then-estranged wife, Doreen, affirmed that he had indeed assaulted her on the night of Monday, 26th February 2018, at their Karen home.

She explained that the issues arose when she reprimanded a 16-year-old girl whom MP Gideon Mulyungi had brought to live with them, covering her school fees.

On that particular night, Doreen Majala confronted the girl about her inappropriate dressing, a situation that the legislator disapproved of, leading to an altercation that escalated to physical violence.

"My husband hit me on the face with his phone and continued punching me until I screamed for help, that is when he stopped" she said.

Subsequently, she reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi after a week. However, he was later released.

The second hearing of the case was scheduled for April 22nd, 2019. The outcome of that hearing is currently unclear.
