Detectives in Kiambu are investigating an incident where the body of a 46-year-old man was discovered dumped by the roadside in Limuru Town on Thursday morning.
According to police, the victim, a known mason, was found near Limuru Mosque on following a report by the area Chief.
“Officers from Limuru Town Police Station and DCI Limuru visited the scene about two (2) kilometres East of the station and found the body of a male [individual],” police say.
Police stated that strangulation marks on the neck, discovered during a preliminary inspection of the body, may indicate the cause of death.
After cleaning up the crime scene, the corpse was taken to the mortuary of Tigoni Level 4 Hospital for a postmortem examination.

According to the police, the deceased was last seen with his immediate neighbor, whom they are trying to speak with to get further information about what happened before the incident.
