Police are investigating the death of a 40-year-old man who died by suicide at Omindo village in East Gem location in Siaya County.
Confirming the Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo said the deceased, identified as Odongo Odinya, was found hanging on a tree.
“The body of the man was found hanging from a tree in the homestead of one Rosemary Atieno Onyango,” Kimaiyo said.
Further, he said the matter was reported to Yala police station by area Chief George Odhiambo Salala.
“My brother was a casual laborer. He left home in the afternoon to do some work only to be found dead moments later,” Ambrose Otieno noted.
