Top legislative and executive branch officials, including cabinet secretaries, have gathered in Naivasha for the yearly Cabinet retreat.

Senior Kenya Kwanza government officials arrived in Naivasha on Sunday night before President William Ruto's annual meeting.

Reviewing Kenya Kwanza's scorecard and highlighting significant achievements since the administration took office in September 2022 are the retreat's goals, which are scheduled to start today formally.

"Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and other government officials will review their performance of the current administration in implementing their BETA plan as was agreed upon during the inaugural retreat at the Mount Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki," government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura told the press last week.

Mwaura continued, saying that the retreat will also provide the government a chance to assess the progress made over the previous 17 months and build on successes to generate momentum for implementing initiatives and activities in 2024.

The parliamentary leadership is also anticipated to provide an update on the second session of the 13th Parliament's proceedings.
