Two men died after falling from a crane while painting a building in Meru County.
According to preliminary reports, the crane they were supported on experienced a mechanical failure while painting the fourth story, resulting in a sad catastrophe.
North Imenti OCPD Ezekiel Chepkony verified the tragedy, stating that the crane, which was carrying three people, broke on Monday afternoon, killing two people.
Two men died on the scene, while a third survived the fall and is being treated for injuries at a nearby facility.

The police chief said an investigation is ongoing to determine whether the contractor meets safety requirements.
"Kwa sasa hatuwezi kusema makosa ilikuwa wapi lakini uchunguzi unaendelea," Chepkony went on to say.
"Ukikamilika Indio tuta jua ukweli odio kama kuna mwenye yuko na Makosa achukuliwe hatua za kisheria."
