A 45-year-old man, Alwy Shee Bakari, has died after he was involved in a road accident along Lamu-Witu-Garsen road in Lamu County.
According to police, he e died while receiving treatment at the Mpeketoni Hospital.
The three other injured persons were taken to Mpeketoni Hospital as the burial of the deceased is set to take place on Friday in Amu.
This comes just a day after five people died after a lorry rammed a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) along the Katito-Kendu Bay road in Kisumu.
The lorry, ferrying sand towards Kisumu, is reported to have had a tire burst before the driver lost control and got into a head-on collision with the matatu heading to Homa Bay.

Two other people who sustained injuries in the accident received treatment at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, while others were treated at the Nyakach sub-county hospital.
Confirming the accident, Nyanza Regional Traffic police boss Allan Mwangi said that investigations have begun to establish the exact number of passengers in the ill-fated vehicle.
