A middle-aged man from Nanyuki, Laikipia County, was given a 40-year prison term on Friday for purposefully defiling a 10-year-old girl and giving her HIV/AIDS.
According to reports, the horrific act was carried out in May 2023 in Makandura, in the Laikipia North sub-county.
Senior Principal Magistrate Ben Mararo of the Nanyuki Law Courts delivered the decision, emphasizing that the prosecution's four witnesses' testimony proved the accused's guilt of committing the crime.
