A plane crash along a roadway in Nashville, Tennessee, has left five people dead.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department stated in a post on social media platform X that "5 people on board the plane died in the crash."
It also shared a photo of the crumpled wreckage of the single-engine plane.

According to the Nashville Fire Department, there was a "heavy fire" when responders got on the scene.
According to US media reports, Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron stated that the jet experienced engine and power failure around 7:40 p.m. (0140 GMT Tuesday).
It was cleared for an emergency landing at Nashville's John C. Tune Airport, but it crashed just a few kilometers from there.
He stated that the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the disaster.
