Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has stated that he will not back down on his war against illicit brew.
The second in command vowed to continue committing to eliminating the sale of illicit brew, which he claims undermines the social fabric of many Kenyan cultures.
"We are almost losing an entire generation. Nobody will be allowed to sell poison in the name of alcohol to our young people," he said.

During the induction service for Rev. David Chege of PCEA Gateway Parish in Roysambu, Nairobi County, the DP said he has faced several challenges in his fight against illicit brew.
"I was not born in the Deputy President position I just recently got it all those other years, I was living a normal life eating and drinking. It is not a must I stay there forever," he said.
"If I lose this position because of protesting against the sale of this poison I am ready."
Gachagua and President William Ruto stated that the government will not back down from fighting the sale of illicit spirits and will only rest until the problem is eradicated.
"There is no pride in leading a drunken nation, people with broken families," he told the crowd.
"We want to lead productive, decent people and we are not fighting anyone we just want to stop the sale of illicit brew."
