Leader of the Wiper Party Kalonzo Musyoka has criticized the Kenya Kwanza government, claiming that taxpayer support is lacking in implementing the housing levy.
Speaking in Kuria West, Migori County, following the opening of the Wiper party office, Kalonzo claimed that the program's implementation by the William Ruto administration demonstrated the highest degree of dictatorship.
He expressed regret that the government would be taking money from Kenyans to finance the construction of affordable housing projects without their express consent.
According to the leader of the Wiper party, Kenyans are being illegally forced to accept the affordable housing project.

He declared that the opposition Azimio la Umoja One Kenya team would take the appropriate action because they would not tolerate such a constitutional violation.
“Tutawapinga, kwa mfano hii kuleta ushuru ya lazima vile mama amesema kiwanja ni ya serikali ata huulizi Wakenya tuweke wapi na kulamizisha Wakenya kutoa ushuru kwa lazima...jana ameweka sahihi na kusema lazima utoe hii, upende usipende...na Wakenya wakipiga kelele kama huko Kericho na huko Bomet wanasema watawashika,” said Kalonzo.
The ex-vice president expressed regret over Kenyans being made to pay additional taxes on top of their already excessive tax burden.
Kenyans are suffering, according to the leader of the Wiper party, because they cannot afford necessities like food and healthcare because "the government does not care about the people."
He declared that until the government responds to the demands of the Kenyan people, they will not stop criticizing it.
Kalonzo is anticipated to attend several meetings in Kisii County on Thursday.
