Four people were killed in an accident in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County, after the matatu they were traveling in rolled multiple times on the tarmac after the driver lost control of it.
According to a police report from the site, the four died at the scene while the injured were evacuated and brought to hospitals around Kirinyaga County.
The Kukena Sacco matatu accident occurred when the driver lost control while approaching a sharp bend on the Kerugoya - Ngaru - Gatuto route near Koroma.
The vehicle was traveling from Kerugoya to Kagio when it rolled several times and came to rest in a ditch on the side of the road.
