More than 100,000 liters of illicit brew have been destroyed 1000 kilograms of bhang seized since the crackdown on illicit brew began in Migori County.
Confirming the incident, Migori County Commissioner David Gitonga revealed that several people were also arrested in the raid.
The County Commissioner said the crackdown on illicit brew is still on, even as he warned those involved in the outlawed business.
“The multi-agency team is still traversing villages to ensure illicit brew is kicked out of the county. We have also seized several vehicles and arrested suspects who were found in possession of bhang.”
Gitonga has called upon the public to work closely with the police so that the ongoing crackdown bears more fruit.

The county commissioner said drugs are ruining youth in the country and, therefore, all stakeholders must come out to fight it for the sake of the coming generation.
He said the police will continue with the fight without fear or favor and therefore urged the people involved in the business to stop immediately.
