Residents of Kipsapta village in Kuresoi North, Nakuru County, are dealing with an unprecedented situation after two men exchanged wives due to infidelity in a shocking turn of events.
The incident, which has shocked the community, goes against custom and has angered locals and elders.
Elders expressed great concern over the two men's unconventional actions and hurriedly called a meeting to address the situation, with Nyumba Kumi chair David Rono leading the charge.
One of the men, Robert Kiruo, starts the story when his wife leaves him and their two small daughters behind.
He tried to get the village elders involved for five months but in vain.

Feeling betrayed and wanting revenge, Kiruo decided to take matters into his own hands and trade wives with the man who had supposedly stolen his wife.
Kiruo explained his motivations, saying, "When I realized that the man had decided to take my wife, I chose to take revenge by taking his wife." Surprisingly, the spouse of the other man approved the transaction, claiming that they both had grievances about infidelity between spouses.
The elders, greatly disturbed by the consequences of this action, have decided to meet again on Monday to formulate a plan to deal with the growing crisis.
Their main worry is keeping the tension between the two families from getting out of hand and possibly causing mayhem in the neighborhood.
Meanwhile, both wives have relocated to their respective parental homes, leaving behind their children, who now find themselves in a tumultuous and uncertain situation.
