Meru politicians have been urged to collaborate with Governor Kawira Mwangaza as she officially joins the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala and Chairperson Cecily Mbarire at the Hustler Centre in Nairobi welcomed the governor's move to the UDA.
Mwangaza claimed she would reconcile with Meru's leadership and collaborate with all leaders.

“Meru is bigger than all of us. Meru is bigger than any other leader. So it is my prayer that we can work together with every leader,” she said.
The Meru governor has stated that she would run for governor in 2027 on a UDA Party platform.
Mbarire, also the governor of Embu, urged Meru authorities to explore reconciliation for the benefit of Meru County.
"I'm urging all politicians, especially the UDA MPs from Meru, and the UDA MCAs of the Meru County assembly, I want to urge them to open the door for dialogue, reconciliation, and healing for this great county of Meru," she went on to say.
Malala urged Meru MPs and MCAs from the UDA to work with the governor on the party leader's agenda.
“We want to ask them to embrace the entry of the governor and they should work together as a team. That's the aspiration of our party leader. Our party leader wants a united Meru. Our party leader wants a solid Meru County government,” said Malala.
“We are stretching an olive branch to the MCAs in Meru County as a party we shall retreat and find a reconciliatory mode in which you shall operate with the governor because now it is time to move on.” he added.
