A fire burned down a 230-capacity dormitory at Masii Boy’s High School in Mwala, Machakos County, on Tuesday night, destroying property of unknown value.
Police say the fire, whose cause remains unknown, broke at around 7 pm when students were eating supper in the dining hall.
Confirming the incident, Sub County Police Commander Nancy Jerobon said no injuries were reported during the incident.
However, nothing was salvaged.
Jerobon said members of the public helped put out the fire before a fire brigade from the County Government arrived.
