On Thursday, President William Ruto arrived in Guinea-Bissau, a West African nation, for a three-day state visit.

The anticipated bilateral talks between President Ruto and Umaro Sissoco Embalo, the president of Guinea-Bissau, hold the promise of enhancing trade relations and boosting private sector involvement in key sectors like manufacturing, agriculture, and technology transfer, benefiting both nations.

A day before his travel to Guinea-Bissau, President Ruto received Ghana's highest honor—"the companion of the order of the star of the Volta"—for serving as a role model for the next generation of African leaders.

According to President Umaro of Guinea-Bissau, the goal of the visit is to improve socioeconomic and diplomatic ties.
